New player ratings have been posted at the Strat-o-matic website

Wikipedia Brings new players to our game!

SOMFootball.com has been has been receiving more and more visits from the Wikipedia Free Encylopedia since it was listed as a link. 53 this month. 303 for the year.

As time permits this week I will try to update the "About The Game" section of the website. The shockwave files showing the game need to be updated to show the features of version 7.

The Flash files of the game account for about 28% of the bandwidth on the site. I have plenty bandwidth now and that shouldn't be a problem.

I may also add more static pictures of the computer game.

In Passing - Joseph Carel Cook

December 3, 2007

Joseph Carel Cook passed away in Ohio State University Hospital. Several of us knew him in life as well as in the realm of online strat football. Joe was suffering from severe gangreen that spread from the infection site on his leg. The doctors weighed all options; however, due to Joe's size and poor health, the outlook was not good. He was unable to breathe upon his own for several days. On Monday, his wife gave the doctors authorization to stop all ACLS procedures.

New Improved Player Pictures

Jeff, Dennis and several others were kind enough to provide pictures that can be used with the game.

To install:

Typical setup for all seasons. Your software may be in a different location.
C:/Program Files/Strat-o-matic Football/graphics/pictures/

or

Typical location for an individual season. You can have one folder for each season.
C:/Program Files/Strat-o-matic Football/graphics/pictures/2006/

Copy your pictures to the proper folder and they will automatically show up in the game.

Using the Lobby makes playing easy...

The lobby button is on the start game screen in the upper right hand corner.

If you have trouble install the file vcredist_x86.exe in the root folder on the football game CD.

Football Patch 7.01a Available

The new patch is availbe for the pro football game.

With the preview due on July 3rd I'm sure everyone will be taking about who get's a card and who doesn't.
